Itinerary

Day 1: Homeport to Perth

After a home pickup, we join our flight to Perth via Auckland. Enjoy A meal on your flight. The welcome dinner this evening is at the Hyatt Regency.

Day 2: Perth

This morning we will enjoy a sightseeing tour of Perth which includes a number of attractions and have us back at the Hotel early afternoon. You are free this afternoon to have a look around Perth and the many attractions nearby the Hotel. You are free to dine tonight at any of the many great options Perth has to offer.

Day 3: Perth to Hyden and Wave Rock

This morning we leave Perth and head west to the township of Hyden, enjoying a couple of stops along the way. On arrival at Hyden we will visit the miniature soldier museum and The Lace Place before heading to our accommodation for this evening. Weather permitting, we will also watch the sunset at Lake Magic while enjoying a glass of wine.

Day 4: Wave Rock to Albany

After breakfast this morning, we will enjoy a bit of Aboriginal culture and bush tucker and also visit Wave Rock, an amazing natural phenomenon which this area is most famous for. We will then head for the South Coast and the township of Albany which will be our home for the next two nights.

Day 5: Albany and surrounds

Today we have a leisurely start with Breakfast at the Hotel. We will then head to visit Albany’s historic Whaling Station for a guided tour and then to Patrick Taylor cottage, believed to be the oldest surviving dwelling in Western Australia. We will visit the Great Southern Distilling company for lunch and a whiskey tasting.

This afternoon we will visit the National Anzac centre, opened in 2014 by the Prime Ministers of Australia and New Zealand, and voted in 2015 as one of the best new travel experiences in the world.

Tonight you are free to dine at your leisure at one of the many places Albany has to offer.

Day 6: Albany to Margaret River

Following breakfast, we head west and make our way across and up the coast to Margaret River. We will make a number of stops along the way including the Valley of Giants treetop walk and a trip out to the famous Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse where you will see the joining of the Indian and Southern oceans.

We will then make our way to Margaret River where we will enjoy dinner on arrival and where we will stay for the next three nights.

Day 7: Margaret River

After Breakfast, we will head north to the seaside town of Brusselton, home to the longest wooden piled jetty in the Southern Hemisphere. Here we will take the Jetty Train along the 1.7km long jetty and you will then enjoy some time in Brusselton. Following lunch, we will head out to Yallingup and then enjoy a wine tasting and visit to the Margaret River Chocolate company on our way back through to our accommodation.

Day 8: Margaret River

Following breakfast, we will head south to Mammoth Caves and enjoy a walk through this natural time capsule which still contain fossils and an important link to the history of this amazing area.

You will then have the opportunity to visit a glass blowing gallery and have a turn at blowing your own bauble to take home with you.

This evening we will visit a local winery for dinner and wine tastings before returning to the hotel.

Day 9: Margaret River to Fremantle

Following breakfast, we will head North to Fremantle with a couple of stops along this picturesque coast. We will arrive in Freemantle early afternoon in time to check in to the Hotel and have a chance to explore the Fremantle Sunday markets and your option to dine at your leisure this evening at one of the many options Fremantle has to offer.

Day 10: Freemantle to Perth

After a delicious breakfast, we will visit the Freemantle Prison and learn the amazing history of this area. Following a tram tour of Freemantle, we will enjoy a cruise from Freemantle back to Perth along the Swan River where our coach will meet us and transfer us back to the Hyatt, where we will stay for our last three nights.

You are free to dine at your leisure at one of the many options around the Hotel in Perth.

Day 11: New Norcia and the Pinnacles Desert

After a lovely breakfast, we will join our coach and head up to New Norcia, Australia’s only Monsatic town. You will learn the intriguing history of this area. We will then visit the Western Wildflower farm and enjoy a picnic style lunch before heading to the town of Cervantes. We then head to the Pinnacles desert when you can enjoy a walk among these mystical limestone pillars before our early evening return to Perth and dinner at the Hotel.

Day 12: Perth

After breakfast, you have the day to yourself to explore Perth, do some last minute shopping or visit attractions or galleries that you may have wanted to see. Tonight we will enjoy our farewell dinner.

Day 13: Perth to home

After a leisurely breakfast, we will check out of the hotel. We will then join Captain Cook cruises for a lunchtime cruise on the Swan River. On return to the shore, we will head to the airport for our direct overnight flight home via Auckland.
